The Bachelor

Did anyone else watch the final episode of The Bachelor last night? Did you think that Travis had even one speck of chemistry with Sara from Tennessee??

I liked Sara (even though her motivations seemed a little premeditated "You are perfect for me! And my mother thinks so too") But I discovered that other than Moana's blow out at the dinner table with Travis's parents, (you can't even make up a reason why you like their son/brother?) I liked her even more. Can I just say for the record that I hate, no that's HATE the name Moana?

I have not been watching because normally I have a meeting on Monday nights. I STAYED HOME TO WATCH THE FINALE! I had been hearing how Moana was the devil incarnate but sure didn't see it last night. I did see a man who everytime put his mouth on Susan's didn't really kiss her. There was no tongue action at all. And she just kissed his upper lip or his lower lip everytime. When Travis kissed Moana, HE KISSED HER. And When he looked at Moana there was more of a sparkle.

Travis never told Sara that he loved her when he told her she was the one he was choosing. Maybe he is just as stiff as a board (not in a good way either - but maybe he is - Hell I don't know!) like that and unable to really touch someone but I wasn't buying it. He also gave her a ring on a chain. Like wtf? Hang it from your rearview mirror?

I am guessing he is a good boy. His parents did not like Moana - they liked the hometown girl and he is a pleaser. I suspect this is one more Bachelor marriage that won't ever happen.
This whole time I kept saying (even though I wasn't watching I kept up vicariously with radio and internet) that he would pick Sara from Tenn. and for once I wasn't happy that I was right.

  • There's a porn star named Moana. Moana Pozzi. I think she might be dead.

    Off to Google...

  • Ok, Ok. I watch it. My husband and I RECORD it and never miss. We have watched every season. Blast me now, internet world...see if I care!

I loved Sarah from Tennessee. After watching the whole season, I really think some of the "friendship" only look to their romance was done in the editing room. Travis was more "stiff" than other bachelors, but I liked him the best of all of them. He was real. He was a kind-hearted, semi-serious guy.

Moana (I agree on the name) was painted into a villianess but really I felt for her. I think she got way too openly emotionally with his family and also panicked when asked what she loved about him. She wasn't polished and prepared. I like that. And, I do think there was a real attraction there and his sister picked up on that and knew there was something.

Who knows what will happen--most of the relationships from the show have failed. But, the thing I liked this time around was that even though the show surrounding the two who wound up together in the end was all glitz and polish, they were just real, down-to-earth people. Or at least they seemed that way more than any other season.

    Yeah, I know...I'm a sucka...(grin)

  • I can't see how anyone can feel like they're in love with ANYONE after such a short period of time AND cameras following and recording your every move and statement. I think women get wrapped up in the moment and enjoy the attention and want to be the "winner" by not being humiliated by being dumped on national television. He obviously didn't have chemistry enough with Sara from Tennessee because he gave her a stupid chain for her necklace. That was so dumb, just don't give her the ring.

As I was typing, I just realized I'm way too opinionated about that show, LOL.

  • Is Reality TV love supposed to last? It's hard enough to find that chemistry in the real world. But in a shorter amount of time, with all that pressure of the whole world watching? Impossible.

  • It does draw me in when I'm flipping channels, but I always feel a little dirty after watching it.
The whole thing seems so manipulated and fake to me and the idea of women basically fighting over a man on national television makes my stomach hurt a little bit.

  • I knew Sarah would win...doesn't the prude always get the worm? Isn't that how the old saying goes? It was a bit painful watching Moana's rejection wail though...check out what we had to say at our blog: www.rantcharlotte.blogspot.com. Great blog by the way!

  • I missed it. I cannot say I am sad about it. I gave up on this when Jen dumped her guy after the Bachelorette, she was soooo cold blooded.

  • Just came over via TB.

I got so reeled into this show. I knew Sarah would win and wanted to like her better but I was kind of annoyed by all the "But you're perfect for me!"s...just a little too me, me, me. And I never saw a lot of good tongue action on their kissing..maybe once.

I liked Moana but her crying and "you rocked me to the core" got a little old too.

Now that I'm typing I see how sad it is that I know so much...I need to tune in to "Meet the Press" or somethign to create some balance.
